The early years of children’s lives are critical. The educators who teach and nurture young children have an impact that will last for the rest of their lives.
The Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education showcases “outstanding and innovative early childhood educators who excel at fostering the early development and socialization of the children in their care, and at helping build the foundation children need to meet life’s challenges.”
A number of Certificates of Excellence and Achievement are distributed throughout the country each year to those Educators who excel in their field. In addition to the Educator’s recognition, his or her centre also shares in their success. Both receive certificates and the financial award is shared between them.
Do you know of an Early Childhood Educator deserving of recognition for their hard work and dedication? Show your appreciation by nominating that person for this award! Nominations are open until November 30, 2010.
