He closed the door behind them and turned to find her smiling as she looked up at him.
“You seem, I don’t know,” she started, trailing off as if she couldn’t find the right words or was worried she might ruin the moment.
“Happy?” he finished for her, because he was happy, and she nodded.
“That didn’t take long,” he said as he touched her face, the sarcasm dripping from his voice, and she giggled. “I guess it just took me a while to realize that you’re the best kind of medicine,” and he pulled her closer and kissed her.
