Aurora 365

A daily posting project

Day 223

no comment

So this is kind of a double creative daily post today.  Yes, I took the picture, but I also came up with this idea to display this poem.  We’re having an appreciation evening for our clients next week and my boss suggested this poem that she would like to have at everyone’s place at the banquet.  I just HAD to come up with some creative way to display each of the FIFTY pages instead of just printing them out.  I just hope I get them all done in time!!!

My copy of For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway.  I’m currently trying to read this book.  It’s not that it’s difficult or boring, it’s just that with everything else I want to do, I don’t really ‘schedule’ a lot of time for reading :(

Continuing on my Book theme:

The Star Wars Pop-up Guide to the Galaxy.  One of my awesome Christmas presents this year!!! :D  Best Pop-up book I’ve ever seen! (the lightsabres even light up!)

Yes… I’m 32 and excited about the pop-up book I got this past Christmas.  Sue me. ;)

Day 148 & 149 was posted to posterus while I was in Halifax.

Day 150

I spent yesterday on Day 1 of travelling around with my boss to visit centres in our area promoting Literacy Day.  I didn’t post this photo last night because I wasn’t feeling well and slept most of the night.

Day 151

The books I bought on Saturday.

The Tower of London, W. H. Ainsworth, c. 1940

New Arabian Nights, R. L. Stevenson, c. 1940

Domesday Book, Edgar Lee Masters, c. 1920 (not very interesting to look at, but looked like an interesting read when I looked through it)

The Swiss Family Robinson, Johann Wyss, c. 1954 (not in great condition, but I liked the cover :) )

Tennyson

WAs on my way to bed when I remembered I hadn’t taken my pic yet!  Was too busy cross stitching today. :)

This is a shot of one of my Tennyson.  It’s not the book that’s in the best condition, but it’s my favourite in my collection.

The Library

The Library

Tonight I took a trip down to my library and shot this pic of some of my favourite books in my collection.  Be warned… I’m sure it won’t be the last time you see old printed material in this project! :)
