Taking shelter from the sun Under a tree.
C is for cross. This isn’t the original photo I shot for ‘C’, but it’s glowy and hypnotic, so…..
Tonight I attended the Moonlight Concert in Paradise, as I try to do most every year when it’s held in August, as a fundraiser for the local community hall. Rumours have it that there were approximately 700 people in attendance! This included a new couple from Pennsylvania who were married that afternoon. One of the band members proposed to his girl after the second set :) This is a Big Band concert with the Annapolis Big Band, featuring Donna-Lynne Holmes. It’s always a GREAT time. Entrance cost is a free will donation and they sell 50/50 tickets (tonight it went for over $450… and I didn’t win! *pout*).
If you’re in the area next August you simply MUST try and visit! You never know who will be there :) This is the first time we’ve had a couple come here from their wedding and one year there were even a group of very good swing dancers in the audience!
The event is held on a beautiful estate and people bring their own chairs and often even picnics. Some go all out and wear nice clothes and bring a fold up table with a table cloth, full spread and champagne. And don’t forget the candles
It was a wonderfully warm evening with a mostly clear sky. Even the moon cooperated and came out nice and full!
A dark misty morning.
Apologies for it being kinda blurry. I had no tripod and the bus was coming! I was a bit rushed :P
I did post a photo last night but it was on my posterous. But I just looked at it and it’s all blurry. Stupid iPhone. I want a re-do! So here’s a bonus Day 101. It’s of the Victoria Hotel at Hollis and Morris in Halifax that I took yesterday.
And Here’s today’s (Day 102):
Christmas lights at the Waverley Inn in Halifax
I love photographing (planned) lens flares, fall colours and graveyards. Especially like when they all show up in the same photograph :D
I was going to actually move the photos over here when I got back, but I think I’ll just link to them, then any comments will stay intact :)
All these photos were taken with my iPhone.
Day 79 – View from the Westin
Day 80 – Star Wars in Concert
Day 81 – Fan Days Fan Breakfast
Day 82 – ForceCast mircophone (actually took with a real camera, then took a photo of it with iPhone from laptop screen – easier to post)
Day 83 – Skyscraper (see note for Day 82)
Day 84 – Sunset at DFW
Day 85 – YHZ (Halifax Airport)
Morning in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia. Saw this shot as the bus was turning around when we got to work this morning. As soon as I got off the bus I snapped this photo and a couple of other photos, although it didn’t really turn out as I saw it. My excuse is that I rushed it. I still feel weird taking photos in situations that aren’t, for most people, ‘kodak’ or touristy moments/locations. This means I miss a lot of great shots, or rush. I need to get over that :)
