• Day 193

*pouts* didn’t get a very good angle on this door – the front entrance to Kings Arms Pub.  But this is the last for the ‘doors’ theme.

Tomorrow starts ‘windows’.  Molytail has suggested ‘books’ as a theme and I think you know I can all do that!  Hopefully it won’t get too repetitive with photos I’ve taken in the past.  Any other suggestions?

  • Day 192

This is the, ahem, back entrance to Paddy’s Pub and Rosie’s Restaurant in Kentville.  Love eating here!

  • Day 191

Three for the price of one today :D

This barn/shed/deal is across the road from me and I’ve been itching to photograph it all week :)

Also, I’ve decided that next week’s theme is windows. :)   If you have an idea for a theme, let me know.  I might take a week off after “windows” to shoot other stuff, but I’m open to other themes, depending on what they are :)

  • Day 190

I’m making myself leave the house every day, even when I don’t have to work.  It’s actually harder than it sounds. lol Today was a nice sunny day and I actually took a lot of pics around the village.  Most of them were better than this, but I’m sticking to that door theme :P I have to say, I feel weird taking photos of things like this.  I’m a shy photographer. lol

  • Day 189

I continue my door theme with this, on a warehouse/barn type thing :)   (nice description, huh?)  Surely by now, you know I enjoy the run-down and decaying :P

  • Day 188

Today’s door is to a Roman Catholic church.  When I walked passed it yesterday I didn’t think it was that interesting, because I was only looking at the door.  As I walked further away from it and looked back the stairs and the arch made it interesting so I vowed to shoot it today :)

  • Day 187

So… I was walking down to the bus today and suddenly decided that this week (TBD whether ‘week’ ends on Sunday or Tuesday :P ) I would concentrate on doors.

Of course, this was before I knew if I even had 5-7 interesting doors to shoot. lol

    Managed to find one today:

    Courthouse Museum, Kentville, NS

  • Day 186

Okay, so I decided it would be fun to experiment with the new pen tablet I got for Christmas by colouring a photograph.  It WAS fun, but it looks like a 2 year old with a fat crayon coloured it. lol  In my defence, it was my first time really using it AND I can’t draw with traditional drawing implements. :P

    This is the original photo:

  • Days 183 – 185

Day 182 was posted on Posterous

Once again we’re going to have a few days in one.  I was watching the last of the Olympics and trying furiously to finish a cross stitch piece that, of course, took much longer to do than I thought it would.

    Day 183

One of the many things I hate about Spring:  wasps and other stinging and creepy crawly things.  At least this guy got what was coming to him and drowned in Winston’s water bowl.

    Day 184

Yesterday was the last day of the 2010 Winter Olympics :( To celebrate Canada’s not only most gold medals ever, or the most gold medals by a Winter Olympics host country, but the most Winter Olympics gold medals of any country ever!! I found some goldish beading supplies…

    Day 185

We had a lot of rain this weekend, on top of all the snow we still had, so the River is a bit flooded.  By the time I took this pic, though, the water had already gone down a bit.
